Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es salaam to Selous – 5 hrs drive
Meet & greet in Dar es salaam at 0730 hrs & drive with lunch box to Selous. Enjoy late afternoon thrilling boat safari on the Rufiji River where you will see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Overnight at Africa Safari Camp on FB Basis ( Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Selous
Full day game drive with lunch box. Overnight at Africa Safari Camp on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 3: Selous
Full day game drive with lunch box. Overnight at Africa Safari Camp on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 4: Selous to Mikumi – 7 hrs drive
Early morning – Walking safari. Drive back to Mikumi with lunch box. Enjoy scenery, through crude road but one of the unforgotten safaris for the true traveler. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of landscape, which is dominated by Hills and Plains as well as part of the famous Miombo Woodlands, these varied habitats. Overnight at Camp Bastian on FB basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) .
Day 5: Mikumi to Udzungwa – 1 hr drive
After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa for hiking till Sanje Falls. Enjoy swimming at the in the cool water hole at the base of the falls. Hot lunch at the lodge. Return back to Mikumi for overnight at Camp Bastian on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 6: Udzungwa to Ruaha – 7 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive with lunch box to Ruaha. En-route visit local villages & farms. On the way pass through the Kitonga hills which are part of the Udzungwa Mountains. The road then follows the Great Ruaha River and then climbs the Great Rift Escarpment. En-route visit Neema Craft. Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 7: Ruaha
After breakfast, full day game drive with lunch box. Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 8: Ruaha
After breakfast, full day game drive with lunch box. Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge on FB Basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) .
Day 9 : Ruaha to Mikumi – 6 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi with lunch box. Late afternoon game drive with sunset view & watch the animal’s drinking water at hippo pool. Overnight at Camp Bastian on FB basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) .
Day 10 : Mikumi to Dar es salaam- 6 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive back to Dar with lunch box (Breakfast & Lunch) END OF TRIP. Additional activity If interested & have enough time: Maasai Walking tour can be arranged, 45 minute walk one way, spending 1 hr in Maasai Village with their morning activities like milking cow. Depart at 0600 hrs & expect to be back by 0930 hrs & depart back to Dar es salaam. The additional cost : Usd 20 per Pax.
